The Sleepy Little Star

2 min story · gentle narration

High up in the velvet sky lived a little star named Twinkle. Every night, Twinkle worked very hard, shining her softest light down onto the sleepy world below. She watched over rooftops and rivers, over cradles and quiet streets. Whenever a little one found it hard to sleep, Twinkle would shine a little brighter, just for them. "Goodnight," she whispered to the owl. "Goodnight," she whispered to the moon. "Goodnight," she whispered to you. And as the night grew soft and deep, even little Twinkle began to yawn. Her light grew gentle and warm, like a tiny candle in the dark. So close your eyes, little one. Twinkle is watching over you. The world is quiet, the night is kind, and it is time to drift away into the sweetest of dreams. Goodnight.

Mira and the Moon Boat

3 min story · gentle narration

Mira could not sleep. So the moon, round and silver, floated down to her window and smiled. "Come," said the moon, "let us sail the night." The moon became a little silver boat, and together they drifted over the sleeping town. They glided past the tops of trees, where birds slept with their heads tucked under their wings. They floated over a pond, where the fish made slow, dreamy circles. The night air was soft and cool. The stars blinked hello as they passed. Mira felt her eyelids growing heavy, heavy like warm little blankets. "Rest now," whispered the moon, as the boat sailed gently back to her window. "I will hold the night while you sleep." Mira curled into her bed, snug and safe. The moon tucked a beam of light around her like a blanket of silver. And Mira sailed away, softly, into her dreams. Goodnight, little sailor.

The Little Cloud Who Wanted to Nap

2 min story · gentle narration

There was once a little cloud who had floated all day long across the big blue sky. He had carried sunshine on his back and waved at the birds, and now he was very, very sleepy. "It is time to rest," said the little cloud with a yawn. So he drifted down low, soft and slow, and settled over the hills like a fluffy pillow. The wind sang him a quiet song. Hushhh, hushhh, it whispered, like waves on a faraway shore. One by one, the colours of the day faded into gentle grey, then into deep and cosy blue. The little cloud closed his eyes. And do you know what happens when a little cloud falls asleep? The whole sky grows calm and still, just for you. So snuggle down, little one, soft as a cloud. Breathe in slow, breathe out slow. The day is done, and rest has come. Sleep well, my dear. Goodnight.

Goodnight, Little Elephant

2 min story · gentle narration

In a warm and grassy land, a little elephant was getting ready for bed. First, Mama Elephant gave him a gentle splash of cool water with her trunk. Splish, splash. Then she dried him with the softest breeze. "Time to rest, my little one," she said. The little elephant flopped down beside his mama, ear to ear, trunk to trunk. The fireflies blinked their tiny lanterns. The tall grass swayed, slow and sleepy. Mama Elephant began to hum a low, warm song, the same song her mama once hummed to her. It rumbled softly, like a faraway heartbeat. The little elephant felt safe and loved and oh, so sleepy. His eyes grew heavy. His breathing slowed. "Goodnight, my darling," whispered Mama. "I will be right here when you wake." And the little elephant drifted off to sleep, wrapped in love and the soft sounds of the night. Goodnight, little one. You are loved.

The Bunny Who Counted Sheep

2 min story · gentle narration

Little Bunny's eyes simply would not close. So Mama Bunny said, "Let us count some soft and sleepy sheep." One fluffy sheep hopped slowly over the gate. Hop. "One," whispered Bunny. Two fluffy sheep. Hop, hop. "Two," whispered Bunny, a little more slowly. Three sheep, soft as clouds, drifted over. By the time the fourth sheep floated by, Bunny's whiskers had begun to droop. Five sheep... six sheep... each one slower and softer than the last, like falling snow. Bunny's ears grew heavy. His little paws went still. "Seven," he murmured, barely awake. And somewhere around the eighth sleepy sheep, Little Bunny was already dreaming, deep and warm and safe. So let us count them too, little one. One sleepy sheep, two sleepy sheep, slow and soft and far away. Close your eyes. Sweet dreams.

The Garden That Whispered Goodnight

2 min story · gentle narration

As the sun slipped low, the little garden began to settle down for the night. The sunflowers, who had followed the sun all day, slowly bowed their heavy golden heads. "Goodnight," they whispered. The busy bees flew home to their hive, tucked their tiny wings away, and went still. "Goodnight," they hummed. The tulips folded their petals like small cupped hands. The grass lay down flat and soft. Even the little stream slowed to a gentle, sleepy trickle. "Goodnight, goodnight," it murmured over the stones. A cool breeze drifted through, smoothing every leaf, hushing every branch. The whole garden breathed out, slow and calm. And high above, the first star appeared, like a nightlight for all the sleeping flowers. Now it is your turn, little one. Let your shoulders go soft. Let your breathing go slow. The garden is asleep, and so are you. Goodnight.
